Gage Proven reflects a direct past working relationship—not an endorsement of every future engagement or a guarantee of availability.

Brings practical implementation experience and a strong understanding of how system design, data, business processes, and user readiness come together to support a successful ERP transformation.

Costpoint ERP transformation leadership
I help government contractors turn Costpoint complexity into an operating environment their people can understand, trust, and run with confidence.
“The system is only ready when the business can operate it—and the leaders approving it understand exactly what they are accepting.”
My work centers on organizations using or preparing to adopt Deltek Costpoint. I lead implementations and reimplementations, help consolidate acquired entities, coordinate functional and technical teams, and stay engaged through testing, cutover, Go-Live, and stabilization.
I also design the connective tissue around the ERP: Concur and ADP integrations, Cognos reporting, interfaces, extensions, stored procedures, and workflow documentation that makes current-state realities and future-state decisions visible.
The goal is not more technology. It is a better operating organization—with clear processes, dependable information, accountable decisions, prepared people, and fewer surprises on Day 1.
Jeff’s experience spans major stages of the platform’s evolution—from foundational government-contracting systems through connected, cloud-delivered Costpoint environments.
Built a durable foundation in government-contracting solutions, project accounting, and the operating disciplines behind the software.
Implemented time and expense capabilities that improved visibility, efficiency, and the connection between people and project financials.
Led complex implementations, configuration, conversion, reporting, integrations, and custom solutions built for enterprise operations.
Helped organizations use increased accessibility, connected applications, reporting, and scalable collaboration across operating teams.
Guides ground-to-cloud transformation with attention to security constraints, extension strategy, reporting access, data, and future growth.
The platform has evolved. The industry has evolved. Jeff has evolved with it—bringing lessons learned forward so teams can anticipate risks and make stronger decisions sooner.
JG How I engage
Connect executive goals, business operations, accounting, compliance, functional design, and technical delivery so teams solve the same problem.
Put decisions, risks, actions, gaps, dependencies, evidence, and acceptance into a structure leaders can govern.
Keep design and testing focused on what real people must perform with real data, controls, reports, exceptions, and support on Day 1.
Lead the program, solve a specific technical challenge, document workflows, reinforce a workstream, or add experienced capacity during Go-Live.
Why Gage Consulting
The advantage is not simply knowing the business or knowing the technology. It is being able to move between both, translate the implications, lead the right mix of internal and external resources, and keep the complete decision connected from executive intent through stable production.
Gage Consulting is invested in helping clients maximize Costpoint within reason: using the platform well, avoiding complexity that does not earn its keep, and leaving the organization ready for what comes next.
Architect the configuration around business value, controls, maintainability, and adoption before adding customization or another application.
Lead client resources, implementation partners, and trusted specialists as one coordinated team with visible ownership and clear decision rights.
Carry the program through stabilization, move unresolved work into a governed improvement backlog, and help the organization transition from hypercare to continuous improvement.
Experience that spans organization size, operating complexity, connected applications, and the full ERP lifecycle—with the hands-on depth to understand how implementation decisions perform in production.
Experience extending from mid-market organizations through $1B+ enterprises and some of the largest government contractors in the United States.
Leadership across Costpoint, connected cloud applications, data, reporting, controls, security, integrations, and the people who operate them.
Accounting foundations and technical fluency that connect executive intent to configuration, SQL, testing evidence, cutover, and stable operations.
Costpoint Cloud delivery CRM Expense Payroll Reporting & BI Enterprise data
Deep functional and technical experience lets me connect people who often speak different languages, accelerate decisions, and carry the intent from leadership strategy into the details that determine whether production works.
The level changes. The business objective stays connected.
Business goals, transformation thesis, operating model, investment, risk, and executive decisions.
Workstreams, future-state processes, organizations, requirements, gaps, data, controls, and solution architecture.
Configuration, integrations, conversions, reports, test scenarios, dependencies, ownership, and cutover sequencing.
Fields, transactions, calculations, exceptions, approvals, reconciliations, defects, scripts, and Day 1 support.
Functional and technical teams reach the real issue sooner.
Business intent stays intact as decisions move into design and build.
Trade-offs become concrete enough for accountable leaders to act.
Strategy remains connected to the details people must execute on Day 1.
Connected solution architecture
ERP decisions do not live in isolation. The right resource can move between business intent and solution detail, see the connected consequence of each choice, and keep the application aligned to the people who must operate it.
Business intent → connected design → operational confidenceWhat kind of organization are we becoming?
Business ↔ Solution
One operating model. Multiple systems.

This is not an open rating wall. Gage confirms the contributor's identity and relevant working relationship privately, reviews every submission, and publishes only the attribution the contributor has expressly approved.
Identity, role, and a relevant engagement are confirmed privately before a perspective can receive the verified mark.

Submissions are screened for client names, proprietary information, personal data, security details, and unsupported allegations.
Approval, edits, disclosures, reviewer, and publication date are retained. Material edits require contributor confirmation.
Published perspectives identify the kind of engagement, relevant capability, approximate period, and approved attribution. Gage does not reward positive sentiment, manufacture reviews, or promise publication.
No client perspective will appear here until the contributor is verified, the submission passes review, and publication permission is recorded.
Private questions remain between you and Gage Consulting. Community posts are reviewed before they can appear publicly.
Only submissions approved by Gage Consulting appear here. Responses are practical perspectives, not legal, accounting, audit, or contractual advice.
